Lake trip '08

We just got back from spending 4 days up at Bass Lake. There was nice hot weather, lots of friends, boating, fishing, reading, cooking, relaxing, etc. and the lake was perfect! Michael and Donna McLelan are nice enough to rent out a house on the lake every year and there is an open invitation to all of us. They are so sweet to put up with all of us "kids" for a few days. At one point there was twenty-five of us up there this year. Thank you McLelan's for an amazing trip...already looking forward to next year!

We did it!

What did we do you may ask? We bought plane tickets! To where? To Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, and wherever else we decide to go once we get there. We have been talking about doing a trip to Asia for almost a year now, and this morning at 4:45 a.m. we bought our tickets. We leave SFO September 15th and return October 20th, just about five weeks.

We don't have much of a plan as of now, but what we do know is that we are flying into Bali and staying there for two weeks (this way the boys can surf their hearts out). Then off to Vietnam and after that Thailand. You never know, we could end up in India depending on flights...we'll just have to see when we get there. I am so excited that we are actually doing this, it feels good. Cheers to travel, adventure, and exploring new places!
